Transportation

All participants are required to make their own travel arrangements to and from the campus of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.  Festival participants are strongly urged to send their travel/flight information to Melody Bundy at MGBbells@aol.com as soon as it is available.  The Festival will make every effort to coordinate shuttle service from the various airports for all passengers so as to reduce fares and ensure that everyone has a safe and pleasant trip.

(2) From Los Angeles International Airport:  Santa Barbara Airbus (telephone (805) 964-7759 or www.sbairbus.com) makes regularly scheduled trips between the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Santa Barbara.  Round trip fare varies ($68-92), depending upon the number of passengers and whether or not the reservation is prepaid.  Seats can be reserved and paid for by telephone or online. Cash and travelers checks are the only forms of payment accepted on the bus.

The Santa Barbara Airbus usually delivers passengers to Hotel Mar Monte in Santa Barbara.  From there, passengers can summon a taxi to take them to the site of the Festival at Westmont College.  However, depending on the time of day and the availability of drivers, it is possible for the Festival to pick up passengers at the Hotel and deliver them to Westmont College.  It is also possible that if enough passengers request it in advance, the Airbus could take passengers directly to Westmont College rather than the Hotel Mar Monte.  Please coordinate your travel plans with Melody Bundy at MGBbells@aol.com.

ATTENTION -- FREE BUS!  There is also a possibility that participants can ride a free bus from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) directly to Westmont College and return to LAX at the conclusion of the Festival.  If you would like to ride this bus, please send your flight information to Melody Bundy at MGBbells@aol.com as soon as it is available.  The bus schedule will be determined based on the number of people arriving at any given time of the day.  There will be limited seating on the bus and seats will be filled on a first come/first served basis."

(3) The Festival will provide the necessary transportation to off-campus events (beach, concerts, field trips, etc.) for all participants.
