Catherine Gregory

Australian-born flutist Catherine Gregory enjoys a dynamic and international career, distinguishing herself equally as a soloist, chamber musician, educator, and artist-citizen. She is the winner of the 2018 Pro Musicis International Award, and her performances have taken her from Carnegie Hall to London’s Barbican Centre, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, and the Sydney Opera House. The New York Times has called her playing “magically mysterious,” also writing that “Ms. Gregory left a deep impression… her sound rich and fully present.” Since first venturing to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar, Catherine has established herself as a highly sought-after collaborator in music old and new, having given performances with the Chamber Music Societies of Lincoln Center and Philadelphia, Camerata Pacifica, Caramoor, Bay Chamber Festival, Við Djúpið Festival in Iceland, and the Southern Cross Soloists. She has toured internationally as Guest Principal Flute of Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Australian Chamber
Orchestra. Catherine is a Core-Artist of Decoda, (the Affiliate Ensemble of Carnegie Hall), whose recent self-titled album was nominated for a 2025 GRAMMY award. Her debut recital album with pianist David Kaplan, Vent, was released in 2023.
