
Paulette Jumalon, soprano
Philippine born stage director and award winning soprano Paulette Sheen Ocampo Jumalon
has had the privilege to share her music in several countries in Asia, South America, the Middle
East, and all over the United States as a soloist and a collaborator with vocal groups. Ms.
Jumalon holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from La Sierra University.
From the stage, her first role was Maria from The Sound of Music, followed by the roles of
Rosalinda from Strauss’ operetta, Die Fledermaus, Golde from The Fiddler on the Roof, and
The Wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast, just to name a few of her favorites. As an award
winning soprano concert soloist, she debuted in Dubois’ The Last Seven Words of Christ and
John Rutter’s Mass of the Children
in collaboration with the Los Robles Master Chorale, La Sierra University Chamber Singers, and
Los Robles Children’s Choir under the baton of Dr. Lesley Leighton and Handel’s Messiah
under Dr. Dean Anderson. Because of her distinct vocal ability and instinctual stage presence,
vocal ensembles such as WITNESS, HisVoice and UNITED have featured her as a guest
soloist on numerous tours and concert events. She most recently can be found singing for
Vallejo Drive SDA Virtual Choir, LLUC and LLBN.
Ms. Jumalon has worked with several voice coaches and recently attended and taught at the
Montecito International Music Festival where she worked with world-renowned performers Faith
Esham, Leslie Umphrey, Javier Gonzalez and Dr. Raejin Lee and she also produced and
directed The Fiddler on the Roof.
Ms. Jumalon has recently directed Roger”s and Hammerstein’s The Sound of
Music and Little Women based on the classic book by Louisa May Alcott’s book.
In addition to her work as a stage director, performer and voice teacher, she also is the Creative
Arts Director and traveled internationally as a vocal artist with Live For 1, Inc., a charity
dedicated to aiding those who are being persecuted for their faith. She runs her own vocal
studio, Jumalon Studios, in Loma Linda, CA.
