Yoosun P. Kim is a Korean-American Soprano and Conductor. Ms. Kim is the Music Director and Conductor of the KAMA (Korean American Music Academy) Choir for the past 7 years.
As an opera singer, Ms. Kim has performed Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and the title role of Cendrillon in Cendrillon with the Aspen Music Festival Opera, Countess Ceprano (understudy) in Rigoletto with Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutte, Adina in L’elisir d’Amore and Norina in Don Pasquale with San Francisco Lyric Opera.
Other roles she has performed include Liz in The Golden Gate with American Opera Project, Nedda in Pagliacci with National Opera Association Conference, Cendrillon in Cendrillon, Vera in A Month in the Country and Lisbe in Zemire und Azor with The Manhattan School of Music Opera and Iris in Semele and Erminio in Il Toronto dell’Onore with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Opera.
Ms. Kim has appeared as a soloist Chorale Fantasie with Aspen Music Festival, Beethoven 9th Symphony with Ehwa University Orchestra and Messiah with San Francisco Davis Symphony.
She has been invited to give voice masterclasses at the World Vision Choir and Mok-Won University in Korea. Also she has led the KAMA Choir to Europe Tour Concerts since 2017.
Ms. Kim earned a Master of Music Degree from Manhattan School of Music and Bachelor of Music from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has been a prize winner at the Palm Spring Opera Guild, Holt & Maria, NATS, LA Music Center, Young Musician Foundation and Bohemian Foundation.
