Montecito Virtuosi Competition

Announcing the official Montecito Concerto Competition!

Audition will be during Session 3 of the Montecito International Music Festival for all students attending.
One winner for each instrument will be chosen to perform with the Montecito Festival Orchestra at the end of the session.
The application fee will be $45 for participating students, and the audition requirements are as follows:

 

 

VIOLINS: Bruch G Minor or Mozart 5th Concerto
VIOLAS: Telemann G Major or Stamitz D major Concerto
CELLOS: Haydn C major or Saint- Saenz A Minor Concerto
BASS: Bottesini No. 2 or Dittersdorf No. 1
PIANOS: Beethoven 1 or Mozart K491
VOICE: Any aria from Mozart Magic Flute

**Concerto auditions can be either the first or last movement.
**Cadenzas are open to the performer’s choice.
