Praised for her “flute-like timbre and exceptional agility,” Dr. Yue Yin is a Lyric coloratura soprano whose performances have captivated audiences on major stages across North America and Asia. Her artistry has graced prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, London’s Fleming Hall, Singapore’s Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Victoria Concert Hall, Qingdao People’s Hall, Jakarta Symphony Hall, and the Bangkok Thailand Cultural Centre.

Dr. Yin’s performance career includes collaborations with organizations such as the New York Lyric Opera, Singapore Lyric Opera, Opera Siam, Singapore Philharmonic Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, and Hallelujah Oratorio Society (HOS). She has distinguished herself in both brilliant coloratura roles, such as Blonde in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, and Morgana in Alcina, as well as in the lyrical depth of roles like Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Nannetta in Falstaff. As a concert soloist, her repertoire encompasses masterpieces including Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, Bach’s Mass in B minor, Dan Forrest’s The Creation, Mozart’s Mass in C minor, and Haydn’s The Creation.

A passionate advocate for vocal pedagogy and the promotion of underrepresented works, Dr. Yin is actively involved with organizations such as The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), The Musicians Club of Women (MCW), The National Association of Composers USA (NACUSA), The Singapore Composer’s Association, and The Haliluja Oratorio Society. She regularly participates in recitals, presentations, and competitions as a performer and judge. Her artistry has garnered international acclaim, with laudatory reviews featured in esteemed publications such as Qingdao Daily, Zhe Le Classical, Singapore Television, and various Thai media outlets.

In addition to her performance career, Dr. Yin is dedicated to education as an Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of North Georgia. She is a sought-after clinician, having presented masterclasses at institutions across the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China. Dr. Yin holds a Doctor of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Literature from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, with a minor in Music Theory and a certification in Vocology, as well as a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Vocal Performance from the Royal College of Music in London.
